Martayn Van de Wall
Martayn Van de Wall graduated from West Point in 2024, where he majored in International Relations and served as First Captain of the Corps of Cadets. After graduation, he commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and moved to the United Kingdom to begin his studies as a Marshall Scholar. During his first year in the UK, Martayn earned a Master of Science in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford, specializing in nuclear coercion theory and its relevance to the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in War Studies at King’s College London. In addition to his Marshall Scholarship, Martayn is honored to represent both the Stamps and Truman Scholarship communities, and he has co-authored two articles in the Defense Studies journal. Following his time in London, Martayn will move to Fort Benning, Georgia, to begin his career as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army.
