Catherine Cossaboom

Catherine Cossaboom is from Atlanta, Georgia, and is a student at the University of Virginia, where she studies Mathematics and Cognitive Science, with a Computer Science concentration. Catherine has given research talks to present her papers at various seminars and conferences, including the joint Mathematics Meetings and the Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics. She also co-launched UVA’s premier STEM podcast in hopes to promote science and technology and showcase underrepresented individuals from UVA’s alumni and faculty. Catherine plans to study Mathematics at the University of Oxford and continue to build her mathematical identity by pursuing a PhD in potentially analytic number theory, automorphic forms, and arithmetic geometry.
